Emerging from the woods of the Lower Connecticut River Valley, Horsy is a sonic collision of catchy riffs, giddy-up bass, and clever lyricism. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion for expression and a way out of the oversaturated cover-band market. 

Since 2024, the current iteration of Horsy, led by dynamic singer/songwriter Melihna Marshall, blends the familiar sounds that defined 90’s rock and metal into a modern and original experience. Marshall is backed by guitarist Josh Acocella-Stollerman, formerly of Stikpin;  bassist Pete Govert, known for his local work with Bluesberry Jam, and his work in the Chicago area with The First Things and The Exitspecialists; and drummer Christian Beisel, formerly of Blacksburg, Virginia bands Captain Money and Black Label. 

The band has been featured multiple times at Jamafest, Norwich’s Strange Brew,  and other venues throughout Connecticut.
